This property owner located in Malton, North Yorkshire was looking for a pair of made to measure driveway gates and metal post to secure a passageway between their driveway and back garden.

They initially made contact us in late summer of 2020 looking for help with a quote and as ever the team at Metal Gates Direct were on hand to help.

In terms of their preferred design, the customer was looking for a style that had a simple appearance and for this reason they selected our Manor Flat Top Metal Driveway Gates which are proving to be a popular option as they are strong, robust and have a timeless appeal that will suit any type of property.

To remove the need for painting prior to installation and reduced ongoing maintenance they chose our upgraded zinc plated and black powder coated paint finish.

With the opening created between the wall of the house and the garden fence it was necessary for the customer to install a single post next to the fence panel to provide an adequate means of hanging one of the gates. This was a simple process for the customer to complete and simply involved digging a hole in the correct location and setting the post into the ground and fixing in place using concrete. Once the concrete had time to set the gate hinges were then attached to the post using self- tapping screws (supplied with the post) which again is a really simple process for even the novice DIY enthusiast. On the opposite side the standard surface mounted hinges supplied with these gates were mounted direct to the brick wall of the house using the appropriate screws/ bolts.

As you can see from the picture below the customer has made great job of the installation and has achieved the results that they desired.
